Ding-dong, ding-dong. That was the sound of the mules in Oia on Santorini in February 2017. It was the complete off season, and many houses and streets were in the middle of repairs. Every mule had a bell and carried sacks, likely with concrete. Hotels, cafés and shops were closed. My wife and I came just for photos, and we expected no crowds. The sunrises were empty.
